  2. Today's working day was driving my van up to Paul Weeding's place in Newcastle and then working on the train on the way home. Not too stressful. Normal routine is split between office, out seeing customers and slacking off when possible.

  5. I start work when at 9 usually and finish at 4.30 ,if it is sunny I work outside ,if it's not I work inside...

Every day is different ,today I have been digging a big hole....:D

I have to work 8-10 days a month to keep up with the bills ,the rest is for big tv's and my playboy lifestyle ..

  6. Similar to @poptop2 for me, although depending on what print centre I'm running out of, I have a lot of time to sleep (if I can. My sleep pattern is ruined and sometimes I can't sleep even though I'm exhausted)

  7. In at 7:30, home when I escape, at the moment it's pretty much glue, snot, jigsaws minus a piece, paint down clean trousers(that's the kids), and general hell in between (staff). New senior management :(

    I hear you bro!

  9. I generally set my own hours ,I like to start at 08.30 ,lunch depends on what im doing sometimes I will work through , if I'm doing small jobs and i need to go to the bank to pay cheques in I can get 1 hour free parking by the river for lunch ,or if Im near Chrisleton the ducks get fed at the pond .I like to be clearing up at around 16.30 so I can pick up materials or go and do an estimate and then its home to clear the van or put stuff in for the next day. maybe do some invoicing /estimate preparing .
If I'm working on a large job ( more than a day and up to two weeks ) lunch will be taken sat in the van ,or if the customer insists I might have coffee with them ,generally they want to pick my brain , but you can't talk and eat your lunch at the same time ,and i need to get on ,no time for slacking in this job .
Some customers will stand at chat all day ,others leave me to it and go to work ,I can be weeks and not see anyone all day ,thats where the radio comes in handy .mostly its radio 4 , I like the comedy /plays /drama . most of the other stuff goes over my head .[IMG]

  11. Im a business manager for a large care home. My working hours are a flexible 40hrs per week but I normally exceed that to around 60hrs so I have plenty of hours in the pot.
I start the day with a good cup of coffee and deal with the daily tasks of billing, wages, vacancies, enquires, supervisions, meetings and liase with the care manager (my wife) and the maintenance teams. Great job satisfaction and chats with residents about the good old days or a beer in the onsite pub ( none alcoholic of course) and I game of darts.

Up at 0545. Breakfast then choose to drive car or bus to work. then drop off daughter at railway station at 0755. Arrive in work at about 0745 officially start 0800. Choose one of several things that need doing and begin. Will be interrupted many times and end up doing something different. Half an hour cooking noodles in the bus for lunch. Leave work at 1630. Go home and arrive back 1720-1745 ..

I design flimsy ladies underwear , the more flimsy the cheaper fabric cost . then have the the much looked forward to sessions with me watching them parade around with the items in situ , with the lovely scent of perfume and baby powder .
Then i wake up and find iam covered in sticky clay from turfing in the rain . My body and head( not hair) covered in saw dust and my back aching from felling trees .
My hands and arms numb with white finger and white arm . My back feels like a blonde haired topaz eyed Nazi has beaten me about . All this starts from 8 o clock in morn till 6 . Oh well we can all dream can't we .
