  11. Dont worry about joker

I was the fist person poptop met after joining the late bay and buying a bus
I popped up from bridgnorth to help him
I left half an hour later with him nearly crying after knocking loads of rot and filler out of his bus
Were good mates even after that:)

  14. Been to see @1973daisy today and have a look at the injun. It's not good. Oil is full of swarf that finely machined its actually like paste. Set the valves but 2 and 4 are right on the end of the adjusters travel, my guess is the cam has been machined away. The previous owner had done a right job on this engine. So it's an engine out and tear down to see how much damage is done. If he's lucky just the cam and lifters, although the po has done a right one on the heads too so at least one will likely need replacing. Good to meet Simon and hope he can get his bus back on the road soon
    :)

  16. Didn't sound too good from the outset, but you have to check the basics are in place before assuming the worse...
Really good of you to help out...even if it's not great news....:thumbsup:

  17. cam bearing shells....???[IMG] [IMG] mmmm nice!

  18. I think its the cam lobe itself. I saw very similar recently on a guy locally who had set his T25 up wrong. He actually got the engine running somehow and from what he said it ran sweet as a nut. A newly built engine in his rental bus and they got 30 miles up the road. He showed me the cam, the lobes were round!

  20. Oooops! Does seem likely if it's just the two valves, unless the valves themselves are bent and not returning fully....but as daisey mentioned way back, these two valves kept loosening, so may well be stuck followers or the lobes.....bummer
