A good selection , Woodfords, Geordie, Coopers and there own brand, The woodfords is usually £22 , There own brand is usually £16 now £11 and £8 . That is a real bargain.
I've just seen that too!!! Off to get a pressure barrel and some more Woodford's My first ever beer brew is ready to be put in the pressure barrel today and I'm v excited, hope it's not pants!!!
Cheers bugcatcher looks like im off to wilkos again I was in there last week as they had dropped the prices of there walk in greenhouse down by nearly 50%
I was quick ive just got back lol 2 wilkos own real ale kits(two can packs) Bottle capper 50 Bottle caps Siphoning thing with sediment filter and tap 2 tubs of sterilising cleaner 25 litre fermenting bin £28.72 bargain
Ha, that's exactly what I bought but sadly quite a few months ago so not in the sale, damn!! Just put mine in its pressure barrel that I picked up cheap earlier Also got their own brand golden ale to try.
The shelves were almost empty when i got there so people have been taking advantage of the offer it seems I did wilkos copper bitter a while ago in a pressure barrel and it turned out well It seems my kitchen is slowly turning into a pub as ive got a dart board and cabinet as an early fathers day present in there So along with lots of homebrew its going to be a good place to be I would be awesome if we could have a dedicated homebrew section on tlb
I don't bother with the proper sterilizing cleaner, i use wilkos baby bottle sterilizing tablets ,they work out about 12 times cheaper

I always rinse well three times after sterilising to make sure I get rid of all residual flavour of the steriliser, even more important if your using milton instead of the stuff they sell you
The last two batches I made at the same time I decided that I wanted it ready quicker so I skipped the secondary fermentation in the barrel. Mistake. I think secondary fermentation puts the co2 into the barrel slowly so it gives a better fizz, the cider is not too bad but you need a bit more fizz in lager, and I cant get any more pressure in there from my co2 bottle without the safety valve going off.
Check out these action shots from the weekend: Sparging In the Copper Hop Modelling Fermenting 100 litres should be ready this weekend
