Absolutely nothing of Glasto that has been on the telly box has been remotely interesting this year. Dull as a dull thing. I dare say Macca was ok for an 80 year old, but.... actually, I will shut up now, as I have just realised I am a grumpy old man..
Been watching loads , but couldn’t listen to Paul Mac …. It’s the same old melody Just finished watching Roisin Murphy Awesome and crackers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Macca's voice may not be what it was but boy that man has written some tunes. I was raised on early beatles and was glad I got to see that performance. Take a bow Sir.
I don't think he knew when to end it . I found it quite painful to watch ..and i watched till the end thinking it might get better ...apart from the drummer the rest of the crew looked like they were undertaking community service .
There were some not so good bits, it's true. Without trying to wax lyrical, he's written quite a large chunk of the soundtrack to my life, especially my childhood. So please forgive my rose tinted hearing aids.
Brian Ray is one of his guitarists - now you have to admit that guy has quite a CV. (He's the one that looks like Richard Branson)
It wasn't the most charismatic performance. Apart from the drummer, as you said. Just glad I saw it, can't see there being many more.
Watched the first three songs of the Macca set and that was enough really. I'm not a fan and find his music a bit soulless to be honest but can see the mass appeal and yes , still knocking out the hits at 80 is quiet an achievement. Did he play The Frog Chorus by any chance ?? Primal Scream were much anticipated but lacked a full orchestra to give the set some guts . Good to hear the Screamadelica standards but sadly lacking . Billie Eilish was much anticipated by lady Lasty but I couldn't see the appeal, very atmospheric but not my tasse de the. I've yet to be moved by what has sadly become a middle class Waitrose glamping weekend . Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
I really enjoyed the High Flying Birds set. Some of Crowded House was ok. Got bored with Macca pretty quickly. Looking forward to the Pet Shop Boys.
The diversity of Glasto I’m looking forward to Lianne la Havas Herbie Hancock and Daina Ross if she arrives that is …. Could be interesting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Indeed, you can spend the whole weekend seeing fantastic music and not go anywhere near the big stages. That said, we last went in 2005 and haven’t wanted to go since so what do I know
Not caught Macca yet but you pretty much know what to expect. Wet Leg we’re fun and Sigrid was joyous on Friday. I think Celeste played yesterday which would be worth a look. Yep to pet shop boys
