I thought it had a Pininfarina early 80s house style to it

 

Mid 70s, saw 4 years of production, sold in at least 5 Western European markets as well as it's home market. Styling was in house. Couldn't believe I'd never seen or heard of this model!

It's a Peter Stevens design: McLaren F1, Jaguar XJR-15. It's a Cypher, built on Reliant 850 running gear.

 

I'm thinking the fringes of western European car manufacturing. In the 1970s the Spanish were ploughing their own furrow, maybe a SEAT?
