  2. All you sunroof boys keep them drain holes clear 3 were blocked this is what I found when removing the rotten headliner ,
Reason being unless you tear out your headliner you will have no idea what is going on, this is not the corrosion on the usual gutters , this is next to the sump in the roof solely on the sunroof vans o_O 71BED754-3BA8-4EDF-87D6-D4B54D35FA86.jpeg 030E2B8A-539C-4367-8106-9E84938F11C2.jpeg

Some bending and plenty of thumping but now at least it’s marked for the only orientation that works.

Needed it in place to check if the Sterling BBS1230 would actually fit on it, after quite a lot of measuring up, pondering and planning. It fits perfectly as expect...but only vertically and laterally.

Sterling state it to be 50mm in depth. Which would’ve given me 20mm clearance to the carb filter. It’s actually 70mm in depth Now not at all sure it will fit.

Their stated dimensions for the associated BM12123 are also completely wrong; despite even calling them to confirm. How hard can it be to just make diagrams from the production available and know what it is you manufacture and sell.

  5. Earlier in the week - I Rolled my driver's door window down - and it fell down into the door. Took the door card off and it fell to pieces as it was sopping wet .
So new door window channel ordered - and decided that making my own door card would take me too long - so new door cards ordered too.
They arrived on Wednesday - and I managed to complete fitting them today - the door clips are a bit fiddly -but forget to take photos - anyway new door card looks much better.

  8. I don't know about better - but I cut to shape another sheet of polythene and glued it in place . I think it was the torrential rain we had 10 days ago that did it - may be I should use the cover in the summer too.

  9. Fitted a 240v hookup to the camper, only a battery charger to plug in at the moment though.

Drove it up Cheddar Gorge. Would have been fun if it hadn’t been for the lycra brigade!

I’ve just fitted some ABS ( strong plastic) door cards from JK. Pricey but really good, no need for any membrane.

Tools, parts that were just in your hand...disappearing. Time to quit for the day. At this stage I always want to push to get it running. But it’s better to slow down and make sure it’s right.

  20. Part of the original membrane needs to be tucked into the door behind the air vent to stop rainwater getting in.
