Well it seems these long Video conferences are a useful opportunity to use your spare hands for other things, like working out why the tailgate lock is a bit dodgy.

Checked the valves, cleaned and checked the plugs, stopped a squeeky seat.
Now for a ride, at a sensible 4-55mph.

 

He loves it! Just romps along.

 

Think that " fix speedo " needs adding to your to do list.

 

You’ll note the fuel gauge moving in the opposite direction to the speedo . Best to keep a light right foot.

 

Don`t worry , it`s a rare r.h.d KM speedo ....

One click on the gauge every couple of miles..
I have seen that speed once when I floored it downhill with my first engine .. rolling down the north slope of Butser Hill on the A3.. These days its more like 75 indicated , then back off.

 

Changed this wire to coil.. Why would someone do this?

And changed heater pipe as it seems to have developed a hole...

Wanted to do some welding in the garage so got the bus out to make space. Rather than just back it out I went out in the sunshine to get a gas refill for the bottle @scrooge95 gave me. Picked up a couple of roast pork sandwiches from the farm shop on the way back. Must change the ignition switch.
