Exactly, or even an extract of their pedigree will do. Scientific researchers who work on animals aren't too fussy.
Where are the people who paid £20k +,do they not frequent this establishment, or do they not Really exist?
I remember back in 94 when I was going to Pay 2.5k for a Westy and I asked Dave Farmer the VW matey in Holbury What he thought and he started laughing at me as if I was crazy Maybe that's why they are not coming On
Camping in it? Or not daring to move it out of the garage!! I’d like to think that if I’d paid £20k or even more, I’d be getting the type of vehicle that doesn’t require advice on how to weld chassis rails and fit a new pop top canvas!! The forum is obviously so much more than that, but at first glance you’d be forgiven for thinking we were all about restoration advice. Second glance.... not so much
We’re a sort of DIY van restoration Samaritans. Predictive wanted to use sanitarium when I began to type Samaritans. That works too.
The bay think I paid about £2500 then sold it on for near on £5k sank loads into it so no profit. Split crew cab £12k sold it for £15k so gained a bit after spending a bit on it. The boat don’t ask. But 3 years later it’s probably worth £10-15k more. But I don’t want to sell it so it’s immaterial.
I wish it was that easy.....it lifts fuel out through the pump in the top of the tank - there's a round hole in the engine bay bed to remove the pump and its got a third fuel line added by Danbury to feed the Webasto cab heater.
I think they get sucked into the newer is better myth, as I did to an an extent. Have a look at the prices for 'new' vans at Danbury and Brazilian Campers. It will make your eyes bleed.
I know. They are carp as well. Looking at an 08 plate danbury last night at the place where mine goes now and again and there's severe rust on it. Front arch needs replacing and where it joins the inside at door level there are holes and proper rot. Remember when they came out one was on display at Vanfest and people were going up to it and pressing on the panels and seeing how far it would bend. Utter rubbish.
I paid £600 5 years ago and have put just over £4000 in and she's finished apart from some bits I'd like to do again as thats just me
Sure is Malc. Not many places you can pull up and have sailing ships near you being repaired. Maybe planning a trip there over the weekend if its not to busy.
