£1900 for mine in '07. Got tired of looking at shiny paint over filler and folk asking for silly money, so thought I may as well get one done proper. Then realised I should have waited for a good one
Did anyone who bought their van off eBay keep the original listing? I've just found mine. It's a complete work of fiction. The bloke I bought it from (I later found) worked in Marketing. Silly me.
6k in march First bay 2nd aircooled.. I think I stole it considering the condition of many I viewed for 3 or 4 k more
£4250 14 years ago, German import Westy, (basic not the full monty) and it still has never been welded, same engine, only new tyres (14 years ago)and new clutch / oil seal 8 years ago.
£1150 in 2004/5 off achap on volkszone. Wasn’t looking for one but saw the post and thought I’d have a look, just to see and it was a day out. Came home with a low loader booked Knew it needed work so spent a couple or three years bare metalling it, cutting out rusty bits and having someone make it nicer.
£800 I bought rust bucket but at least was never bodged or tarted up no shiny paint just holes, that was about 4 years ago, I was wary of shiny paint
Before (from eBay ad). You can see the rot even from that distance (foolish me)... And now. Think he looks a bit healthier...
£2000 in July 1995 A month later I removed the interior prior to filling it With Banknotes Until I sold it in May this year
A cheaper alternative to buying a van is simply to stand on your driveway setting fire to £10 notes...
Only had £7k to spend and everyone i looked at was crap! So bought one that was stood 26 years for £1600 although I'm probably in £10k now. Worth every penny to us though Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
