Both my busses have the wheel on the back, is the place the ultra cool have it Plus landy's is fine for fettling
Have you ever driven the Landmark without locking in the spare properly @Lord Congi ? I have twice and wondered what the banging sound was, until other car drivers informed me
Hey, it covers rust and prevents stone chips! (More than one spare wheel may be required) That's it! Two spare wheels and it could be a "Where's Wally Bus". Come on you techno savy dudes, mock one up. Bet it looks ace
First tin top was wheel on front job which was fine. Tried wheel covers but they just sweat underneath chrome hub caps. For me. The Devon I've got now had wheel on the back hated it. Getting in to engine bay. Only had it a couple of week reversed back with the wheel down made a right mess. Been on front since. Very good for putting your beer on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Keep ours inside the van.. and only take it out if we need the space .. ie shacking up for the night at a French motorway air...otherwise it stays in as we have the full width rock and roll bed set up. I have my own quickly erected tent accommodation when on site so as not to complicate matters...Prefer the van looking uncluttered.
I think an unsullied front end on a tin top is the best looking of bays, but both our bays had a spare on the front, and pop tops, you kinda get used to it
IT was all beetles when i had the tip top. nobody seemed bothered with bays..definitely the best looking of all late bays a tip top. it only cost me £800 from a lovely old couple. had receipts for £2,000.new engine plus main dealer labour of £1500..hand made furniture.never let us down in 9years we had it.. there were going to buy a 3 year old maestro instead... IF i had mint bus probably have nice chrome vw badge on front. like nickuft.
I'd like to know if any forum members ever used one, I've been all over in my two for years and never needed to change a tyre, usually alot more serious.
Never! Used to carry 2, plus jizz for injecting & compressor Now down to one, plus compressor Can't take that off just yet as it's fubarr'd the front panel over the years so we live with it...quite happily I might add!
