You have just gone and ruined the aesthetic lines of your bus

Thank you, I agree, I did know it would but I don't care or I wouldn't have done it! :)
Still looks the same from the other side...
...and it still looks one whole lot better than a T4. :D

As long as you don't ask me to like your T4, apart from the oven. :)

  6. Ordered it Monday came Wednesday, not opened it but is much lighter than I expected. Outhaus were very helpful but they did say the fiamma brackets would be straight bolt on.....

  7. Nah the fiamma are defo not straight bolt on!!

  8. Yeh realise that now but from instructions on here easy enough to trim. Will post some pics when I fit it but will be a few weeks.

I'm really looking forward to simple camping next year and no bl00dy awning to put up!

It looks like it would drip bang on the very top of the gutter - then without doubt run on the outside and drip into the sliding door.
This stuff would cover the gap over to my particular poptop and also be above the brackets. I hope so, I just ordered some.

  10. Hope so. Nice cheap solution thats seems to be made for the job. That almost never happens.

I think as long as I can stop water running down the back of the box I'll be ok, so even it it doesn't exactly meet the poptop it'll work.

  12. @zed nice one, it looks good and I look forward to seeing it in person at some point before deciding what i'll do.

So you went for a 3m version in the end, I was wondering about a 2.6m one thinking it would be the same length (ish) as the fixed pop top frame.

  13. We think it looks great. Keeps the sun off and out of the door way, and seems simple enough to use. Good one!!

100%, the local bacon butty lady has had one on her van for 13 years, used every day and I often stand under it.

Look at where you have fit the brackets on the van. The furthest forward you could have the rear one is where I've put it. 2.6m from there gets you just 4" of cover past the sliding door at the front - not enough to keep the rain out if there's any breeze by my reckoning.

  18. Is there the option of a side panel to go to the front of the slider? As that would be the ideal solution.

Yes you could, but then that would end up travelling inside the van, probably taking as much space or more as the sunshade I used to carry about, somewhat defeating the object of this expensive solution for me. *

Feel free to take the pee when I buy one to keep the wind off. :D
