They used to have it on their proper camper too IIRC.

It wasn't a wind out job.

I just screwed a length of aluminium U channel to the bay's roof and left it there all the time.
Unzipped the bag, roles out and dropped the legs. Added two guide ropes to keep it down in wind.

@zed we never had a proper camper always workmen's panel vans converted. :p

just take a hand drill, make your own attachment.

  7. I've just bought the outhaus one 3 m long their on sale at the moment 50 quid off, not opened it yet as I'm waiting for the fiamma brackets to arrive. Shame really I'll be putting it on in the garage the putting the cover back on until spring. I think the bag is grey and will match the roof bag so won't look too out of place hopefully....

  8. Thats what i want. Currently have a khyam one slotted into an ally awning rail that just rolls up . A bagged one would be neater.

  9. I'm really hoping the fiamma brackets will fit without cutting them they say they are for a T2

Got a full van length chanel at the Stoner Park show one year.

Just make sure you add guide ropes as we went out one leaving it out to return with it sitting in a crumpled heap at the rear of the van, I cable tied a repair and it live for many more camps and might still be going based out of scunthorpe.

They’re 8cm wide – too wide for the B post and you’ll need to modify it, the one at the back will fit okay.

  13. Catch up at the back...3 pages back per Bobdogs pictures

  15. Allready saw at @bobdogs pics don't want mine to look like that... was hoping as specifically refs T2 the brackets wouldn't need cutting but looking again it it does say 8cm

    Will see what arrives......

  16. How long is it £50 off for?

Fiamma themselves say they don't do T2 brackets so not sure what your pic was from but it appears to be a stretching of the truth. If you read the instructions you must fit the brackets in line with the arms which if you did at the B post, that's more or less where the awning cover would end leaving the slider too near the elements to make it worthwhile. So providing brackets for T2 would be shooting themselves in the foot as you can't really fit to a T2 without voiding the warrenty. Didn't put me off. :)

I would say you've bought T3 brackets, which as I just found out, don't fit. Nowhere near and not just Bobdogs bracket chopping, good luck!

  18. Yes looks like i might need to cut em, neatly...
At least the outhaus awning has no arms so you can put the brackets anywhere.

  19. Have you already got your outhaus awning? How long did it take to arrive?

    To keep the info together...
Massive thanks to @The Bobdogs for the bracket pictures (twice!).
I did exactly the same though I had to do some bending of the big brackets to get it upright and cutting and bending of the smaller one to fit it in as designed (as far as I could see). Front chopped to fit just the same. I may not have gone for it otherwise.

After this pic was taken I straightened the big bit to be more upright. You will struggle with any bending unless you have a well fixed large vice, it's thick stuff.

It could look worse? It's quite a heavy big thing.

And it's position couldn't have been better really. @paulcalf .

Simplicity itself, a well designed piece of kit.
