  1. Welded up the rear hatch window lip the other night and also got the torsion arms on with new ball joints pressed in, just waiting for backing plates and all the engine tin ware to come back from powder coating then I can build up the front breaks and move on to the rear.

  2. Nice work Scott. Been waiting patiently on prototype bay for some updates on the van.
I've got a wardrobe and buddy seat if you're interest? Wardrobe is good, buddy seat is fair £120 for the pair.

  5. Got most of the tinware painted last night in gloss black, there's certainly an art to painting

  6. Those are a bugger to paint by hand due to all the different shapes and the paint wanting to flow in different directions

  7. Sprayed it on but your right a royal pain in the arse

  8. Brakes are all re-built now and bus has been lowered. Cab floor finished and step, can't fault the workmanship from Deaddubs workshop it's spot on. [IMG]Picked up a temp engine of Pete from Vw aircooled works along with an extinguisher and a fuel cut off solenoid.
Once the engine is fitted and brakes bled it will just be the wiring loom to get fitted and then mot.

  11. There's something about T2's that always makes me smile what ever they look like and although you haven't finished yet Its going to be awesome particularly if you have decided that it is going to be white? That little bit of white still left on it seems to shout out that its the right colour. It is strange how some colours don't seem to fit some vans but, others do, unless of course thats just me!

  12. Oh yes it's staying white. And where possible will stay original paint. Not looking to get it shiny yet. Just want it to be Solid all round and clean. Maybe next winter we'll sort paint depending on how it comes out when I've stripped all the green paint off

  13. Long term then, like mine which has been at the welders and painters for 15 months, that said a lot has been done and hopefully fingers crossed it won't be long. I just hope it doesn 't take me as long to put it all back together but, my ever filling garage is saying differently

  14. Long term if I can't get the paint tidied up how I want too. But if it looks ok when touched up it'll stay that way.
Although they're all long term as I'm already thinking about a bigger engine and dropped spindles
