Came home once to my Portugese housemate cooking octopus, the stink put me back out of the house! It lingered for days too ...

Aren't there some tiny birds that the French eat whole? Think they're kind of "pickled"in armagnac or similar first. They're considered a delicacy. I have no interest in eating a delicacy thank you very much. While there's still apples on the trees, spuds in the ground, fish in the sea etc, I think I'll stick to that stuff.
