What the hell is 10-30 oil for

and why have i got some in my garage cos i dont know!

10-30 is a bike oil. Specifically older (low pressure) engines.

Old skool one, yes. Roller bearing crank and an asthmatic pump that barely made 6 psi on a good day.

 

That would explain it then. Thats been there for a while then.

 

I'd still use it in my Beetle (lawnmower engine) as that uses more oil than petrol!

 

I assumed that it was a thin oil for winter use.
