What bike did you have as a nipper?

All this talk of BMXs...

I had a metallic red Coventry Eagle with three-speed Sturmey Archer gears. Used to pedal it down the Grand Union from Hemel into London.

Had it for a couple of years, then it got nicked

 

I had a Triumph sit up and beg bike with Sturmey Archer 3 speed, like the old school coppers rode.
Wasn't allowed a drop handle bar cos I wore glasses.

 

All these bike manufacturers, long gone

Tomahawk as a very young boy but a champagne edition Coventry Eagle with thin profile racing tyres as a young teen, then progressed to a Saracen Dirt trax mountain bike as a young adult .... all got nicked... because some people can't keep their hands off other people's stuff!!

I wish was poor so had some old bike. Made up for it years later with a Yamaha 175 trial bike and Something i wish i never sold Honda ATC 110 loved that bike.

 

I had a bit of a mix and match home made thing, no brakes, no gears, fixed wheel, banana seat and cow horns, Russell white the spoilt kid from the posh houses had a chopper then he had a racing bike lucky so and so

Chopper. Then I got a set of forks of another one, and stick welded them onto the ends of the original forks.... they snapped off the first time i landed after a wheelie..

Has your welding improved since ?

 

My dad said that the station bike was the best he'd had and he was in RAF....
