Yes, I find the late night postings wearying. I'd like to point out that it's not my forum, and I can only speak for myself.

We all have our challenges/problems, and I have no issue with them being aired here, but each week, year in year out.....

I'm not in a position to provide meaningful advice to people who need help, am not qualified or knowledgeable - and as a consequence can only appear as a callous t w a t. I have tried to offer advice on job interviews, business opportunities etc, but nothing seems to have come into fruition. I don't have all the background information, anymore than anyone on here knows where my life is at.

I'd prefer to not be put in that position (if this was a mental health forum then fair enough) - however, as in my original post - I should simply self edit and not look.

So the conclusion for me is, I take action and simply not read them.

Apologies to Para is this is very public, not my intention but I have said a few times stop laying down in the middle of the road and make it other peoples responsibility to drive around you.

As a footnote - I also think para has a lot more to offer, and does so here as opposed to me who kind of knobs around a lot and that's about it.

 

if you read moons post fully it makes sense, sadly i think having an opinion that isn't liked by the flock it's a waste of time so you could be on a losing streak mate, i suggest you listen to uncle rick and fix your van or paint them seats..... either that or post in the highly intelectual "what's your favoutite flavour opal fruit" or suchlike.

I needed to express my frustration with the 'people can ***** off if they think this is me.....' opening line from Para the other day - and I didn't want to do it in a full front on attack as that's plainly ridiculous - so I attempted subtly.

In hindsight maybe a PM (as reasonably suggested by @hailfrank) might have been better, but then if things are public in a public forum and that is one of my points, my original post is best.

I've been asked a straight question since and I've given a straight reply - none of this backtrack #smiley icon#, 'we' think, 'people are saying' *****. If people want to take me to task over it then they should use the right to reply just as I have used the right to express myself - that's not me laying down the gauntlet, but then amazingly I can cope with total strangers not liking me, or not agreeing with me.

Try it - it's liberating.

Which is strange as I suspect, like everyone else, in fruit pastels, jelly babies, jam tarts and wine gums it would be purple.

But not in opal fruits.

I'm still confused so I shall go back to the happy go lucky world inside my head where everyone gets on.
I don't think there's anybody on here that I particularly dislike, I am aware of one or two who have taken a dislike to me (I don't know why) but that's their loss.
Live and let live, not everyone can be a nice reasonable chap ALL the time.
I don't like Opal Fruits (maybe that's why they don't like me?) so don't have a favourite.

 

No - I joined just before the 'mighty crash' of 2011 and was then on from around September 2011 to the end of last year.

I rejoined this year after a hiatus.

 

I have a wife I'd like to swap for something, anything really, used spark plug, old oil filter, anything really.

 

I don't dislike para, have never said that, just think that the late night postings are weary some.

If I disliked para I'd have gone with 'could someone give Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice a kicking'* in my post.

* dunno if they actually wrote Les Miserables - maybe it's some french geezer that should get the good news.
