Apart from being a pest insect, wasps are apparently also an important pest insect controller themselves.
Consider the things wasps don't do before you condemn them. They don't work in marketing or PR, don't send you spam emails, don't drive lowered Subarus with LEDs underneath and a sound system that goes boompah-boompah as they drive past, and they don't sell houses, solar panels or double glazing. Can they really be that bad?
I had a nasty bite from a false black widow, it was in a bag of forest bark from Somerset. This left two bite marks on my arm and in two hours my arm went rock solid and a red inflamed vein going up my arm! Hay fever tablet and ice cubes saved the day. Warning wear gloves when putting hands in bags of forest bark!
