Apart from the offers of help and what not what heartens me is the number of reads this has had. I think if you were really in the poop and you could get on here you would get sorted!

I also think that the more people feel they can contribute, in whatever way shape or form, the better connected we'd all be...gotta be some mileage in it for some kind of UK TLB charity relay...have a think

 

Good call & I know I speak for Clive when I say we were overwhelmed by the response your post for help had. As a newbie it's like having a security blanket.....
I'd advise any new poster or watcher to share a phone number with someone on the forum who's close to you. It don't matter if you're not going to be bezzie mates & all that but one day you might need help & may not be able to get on the web to ask the forum. I'm not sure if we'd've had the confidence to ask if it wasn't for the fact that I'd spoken to @Dicky prior to Clive's arrival.

 

....maybe a voluntary thing as some may not want to be 'relied' upon, or have their details on public view. I've no qualms personally. If there was a map where you could stick your marker on it along with some basic info? Not sure how it could work, but I'm a firm believer in 'what you put out comes back to you'....good and bad!

I've not spent any time on the profile page, but i know you can add your location...if there was a secure check box that you could tick if you don't mind passing on more detailed contact info (eg. mobile number) for local help, I'd be willing...comes down to trust at the end of the day...and scope for abuse
