Unwanted rear swimming pool

  1. @Terrordales @zed @Paul Weeding @Mucka @vanorak

this is where it comes in, almost drirectly below where that bracket is fixed on with the 2 screws.
it collects in the gutter inside under the window and runs to the back and drips off a little section where it drops down
ive taken of the metal strip outside, and the rubber trim but there is not obvious holes.
its also not as bad without the metal cover strip thing on outside.

  2. is it running past the seal or dripping out from the channel below the bracket? if it's not getting past the seal it means there's definantly holes under the seal or maybe behind the cover retainer. Less likely is a hole in the roof/gutters.

  3. Only slightly on the inside of the seal that I can see, but I don't know if most if the water is getting through the seal and then making its way between 2 panels where they meet in the window

  4. I think @zed, or someone more familiar with repairing this section will have a better insight into exactly what's behind/between the panel...
you have to assume the metal is perforated somewhere....removing the trim has lessened the ingress, so the water isn't being channeled or collecting as much and recolating down

  5. it doesn't take much of a hole or split in a seam to allow water to find its way in....

  6. hopefully it's just getting past the seal and a bit of this stuff will sort it.

  7. I took the plunge and bought a new rear window seal and so far it seems a lot better but its early days still.

I cut the old one out and used silicon spray and some string to refit it, its defo a 2 man job to refit it

  8. @chrisselby where in the country are you??

Really hard to tell from the photo as to what's going on!! I'd really like to have a look at it!!

  9. cheers guys, its going for a respray in a few weeks so will get the window out and have a good look then, the windows will all go back in with sealant aswell taking no chances !

Brothernumberone is your man. ;) I'd guess holes in roof/gutter or round the seal, but it could be running around inside from anywhere down that side before appearing where you show.

    brothernumberone likes this.
