uber rare, rear 3 point inertia seatbelt bracket

  1. Hi, I would like a bracket and cover if you have any spare. I have been trying to fit a rear seat belt without much luck and want something I can trust because of my daughter using it.

  2. Thanks #Buttercup. Sounds like I should get one. I will have 3/4 R&R so presume it won't work over unit as angles will all be wrong.

  3. Hi rob.e
Thanks for pictures and info. I will have 3/4 bed so am planning to have one full belt and one lap belt.

  4. Not sure I understand:confused:. The male bit of the buckle usually slides along the strap and then just clicks into the static female part.

  5. my female part is attached to a fixed length strap. it's about 4" shorter than it really needs to be, so if it was adjustable I would have no issues.

  6. Ah. I see. Thanks:thumbsup:

I have similar issues! I bought a cream lap belt and a 3 point inertia for the rear from VW Heritage. The lap belt is perfect with an adjustable webbing buckle, but the 3 point belt came with a stalk buckle.... currently trying to find someone to supply just the webbing buckle in matching cream!

  8. Hi David.
Please can I have a near side bracket. I am sending you a PM.

    Many thanks

  9. Cool Rob

How do you find the length of the female stalk part on the the belts, also is there much more pull out extra belt left

    Nice pics

  10. Hi Nick
the female part is JUST long enough - it pokes through between the seat base and back cusions nicely but if it was another inch or two longer it would be better. if securon don't make one longer then this will do, but if you find there is one a couple of inches longer then i'd recommend you get that instead.

i've not pulled the belt out fully to see how much is left - i can try that out tonight for you if you need? It fits around my 6 yo boy and i tried it out myself too, but not tried it with a kiddie seat yet.

    cheers

If you look on the box for the securon number, then cross reference it to the securon website it tell you the length of each one, generally the receivers are 30 or 45 cm, the reciever should sit at the corner of the 2 cushions and poke out slightly more than the catch part, it shouldn't stick out more that approx 4 inches really

  12. @MrBubbleHead hi nick - i checked out the new belt last night - if i sit in the back and put the belt on, if i put my thumb under the strap across my chest and push it away it'll go about 30cm before i runout of belt. does this help?

  13. hi, spoke to you late last year about these, well my project is now ready for them. I need both o/s and n/s as i am having a full width bed, also wanted the plastic covers. just let me know if you still have them and price. cheers warren.

  14. Ok so I mocked up the other side, looks like I'm going to have clearance issue with the spare :(

    Any ideas?

  15. Dam I was hoping to use my wheel cover, it's not too much of an issue for me, as been a westy it should have its cloth cover on. However you could mount the reel onto the top fitting as Mini Bungle did see page six of this thread for pics that'll sort it out by the look of it.

Rob.e thanks for that info always good to share I've gone for the Securon pn 507w belts although it'll be a little time before I get the interior back in to see how the belts work.

  16. I have the reel mounted at the top by the window

  17. I think that is going to be the only solution if I keep the spare wheel where it is. Thanks.

Which belt kit did you use?

  18. I would mount the reel at the bottom as the design is intended. The forces won't be correct in an accident if the reel is mounted at the top. There must be a way of clearancing it.
