Well knowing that they 8.5ins wide gives me a measurement to centre onto the tire and have a look-see worst case is that the steering stops get tweaked a little to stop the tires rubbing on full lock
Cool ill be interested in your measurements Apparently any wider than 205 catches on full lock It depends on how much you would have to limit the travel otherwise the turning circle can be a pain in the ass id imagine
Let's see if this link works... According to the chart that wheel is 1.25ins wider than a stock tire... I think the issue with rubbing will mostly be with the increased height!!
Cheers owen they look interesting do you have any pictures of your bus with them fitted? http://www.vredestein.co.uk/car-tyres/light-truck/comtrac-all-season/info/
That's on 15in rims... a 215/75/14 will be 1in smaller on diameter to a 215/75/15.... so less likely to rub
Indeed it is ive spent that long looking at 15 inch tyres i forgot wed dropped back into looking at 14 inch ones
I wouldn't worry too much about full lock rubbage. As Paul says you can adjust the stops on a late beam (I can't - don't have them). I don't thing 3/4" is going to make a noticeable difference in steering lock potential.
So how much increase in diameter is there over stock? Having to tub the arches for a non lowered bus is funny as hell but not somthing i want to have done as the front arches etc are all finished and undersealed on my bus and i have the bolt heads and spreader plates underneath for the seat swap ive done so less clearance by a small bit over stock
They look better in the flesh than on the net So they fit straight on stock rims, have the correct load rating and are an all season tyre Not exactly a true all terrain tyre but as pretty damm close as i think we would find for ease of fitment Ive heard one of out members from abroad runs these on his bus and rates them but i cant remember who? How do you find them owen? What are they like on sodden fields and gravel tracks?
Yes, they look chunkier when you see them in the flesh, more of an A/T look than expected. I've not run them yet, but the reason for getting this type of tyre was the same as you - a bit of extra traction to get out of a wet field or down a track. Hopefully on the road soon. Got them from mytyres.co.uk

From Poland Hankook RA08 185 R14 102/100Q good write ups and reasonably chunky all season and £64 - possibly not CHUNKY enough though Summer tyre review http://www.hankookopony.eu/nowosci/promobil_ra08.pdf
I think im going to go for the Vredestein Comtrac All Season when i can raise the funds Ive heard good things about them and they fit straight on with no worries and are the correct load rating for the van The price of £64 isnt too expensive compared to other tyres ive looked at There not a true 50/50 on road/off road tyre but will be a damm sight better than normal commercial rated van tyres over the slippy stuff
