Tintops Resurrected resto thread

    Maiden :thumbsup:

    We have all of the running gear to refurbish on Major so it may well be Gusbus that gets lowered now, I did want to do Major but on the other hand, I wanted to leave him stock..such choices!!

    As several of you know had several problems with klakencrap panels with my front arch repair!

    In the end got a complete step from heritage, its not to bad to be fair

    Just clamp in place to get a feel , not bad!

    About 0.5 mm too much gap but as you can see a bit more of the old arch needs to be removed, had a great time re fitting cab door in my own :(
     
  6. Also decided to re use my old cab door as the jk one had proven so akward!

    Only problem was bottom had gone!

  8. That door repair looks ok dude and that bottom arch step does look a lot better than your previous one

    Just needs bit of filla work on the join then good as new. Iam still very much a rookie welder n body person, this time 2 years ago i hadnt a clue! I still fret at my work quality tbh, but u gotta learn somewhere. By the time the van is done ill be a pro! Lol

    The door repair no where near std looking but it will never get seen once the door is on, although i do plan to get a new door at some point.
     
  11. Braved the cold n cut out my rusty cab floor n made my repair panel fit, hopefully time to weld up sunday

  12. Looks great, keep at it. One small bit, is a small bit done for many years. I like the color.
