Probably mate but when your in a little low place it can be taken as a insult Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Chuck a cover over it and sell it in the spring if you still want .... take time to sort your head out and look after wifey
Projects like this are pretty common and not huge amounts of money, if you know you don’t want £5k you must have some idea of what you would like, I would compare it to this on VZI http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=1545769 Sensibly priced I think, there a champagne edition that’s been on eBay twice, no sale yet, under £7k https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/322822684596 I think the prices seem to have dropped considerably in the last year or so
I've built the bus up 95% on my own just a few helpful people to help with the windows and carb set up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No idea spare 1700 lump, gearbox for spares some tinwear, roof handles alsorts mate the list is big Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Don’t sell it as a project. Get an mot on it. There’s ebay projects for 5k but mot’d crap bags for 7k+. Yours isn’t a crap bag by the sounds of it. The engine must be worth 3k on its own. Surely just a few weekends tinkering and you could add a considerable amount to the asking price in the spring. Don’t rush. Take a breather. When life deals you a terrible blow it’s easy to want to vent your anger at something. In your case it’s the bus, some people kick the dog, or go out drinking or punch their boss, or do all those things. We’ve all done things in haste we regret, I turned down Cheryl Cole (ok that’s a complete lie, but you get the point). What’s the phrase? Act in haste, repent at leisure. I don’t really want to air peoples personal stuff on a forum, but I can tell you in time the hurt you feel does ease. It won’t ever leave you, if it did then they’d be something wrong with you, but time does heal, I’ve seen it close at hand. Hang in and concentrate of the positives you have. Take comfort in the small things, the time with your Mrs, the roof over your head, the food on the table. Plenty don’t have those. Forget the bus, it’s just a hunk of metal and oil leaks. Come back to it in spring when the light nights and dry ground make lying underneath it a lot more fun. Be strong and when life deals you lemons, make lemonade. Then stick vodka in it.
Bloody hell John, I didn't realise that you had lost a baby, I knew Jack was gone but jeez. I'm sorry to hear of the loss matey, sad for you both as everything seemed to be going well for you both. If that's how you feel about the bus then pass it on, just when you started getting somewhere too. As Dave said, get the bed fitted up securely, that will appeal to some buyers. When we bought Gusbus he was lacking a bedframe and an interior. Anyway, all the best fella, I sincerely hope you and Sarah(?) get back on track. If your passing Huthwaite anytime, you know how to contact me..your welcome to call in for a cuppa.
Luckily I like lemonade and my bus don't leak oil so that's a good thing right?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ok the lemonade bit I’m prepared to except, but if your bus isn’t leaking oil is because there isn’t any in it..
That's a great looking bus you have,if you sell it might be something you would regret ,why don't you sell the spares, stick em on eBay and see what that brings in . Life can be a complete arse sometimes and i can understand some of how your feeling right now ,time heals ,it can take years but you will pull through .I was in a situation 15 years ago and i learned from that.life does become easier .
Thanks mate , yea life's crap at the minute and I've dug a hole that I need to get out of, the sale of the bus would help massively and have mine and the missis's first proper holiday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
