Thinking of seriously selling help needed

  1. Ok I've been with this bus since January 2015 and have spent a lot of time and effort on it but I'm just not interested with it anymore, from when I bought it as a rolling shell I've rebuilt a gearbox out of 2 and works perfectly, bought a none running engine that was a w code out of a 914 and stripped and rebuilt that with twin webbers and runs awesome and sounds beastly with its vintage speed exhaust, done 3 repairs welding wise 2 on the cab floor and battery tray, got some front seats and had to sort all the electrics out as someone pulled everything off every terminal and switch, got genuine white walls on freshly powder coated rims that are the original rims to the bus, took all the 3/4 windows out and put solid windows in, got a empi gearstick in it as the original was missing but got one now, been insulated on the roof and sides and just had all the side door and back panels trimmed which I did myself, got all the paint cleaned up as it was dull as hell fire but got it back to a shine, has had loads of new parts fitted over a year and half and passed its first uk mot with no problem in iuly 2015, but since then it's only done 17miles,
For mot now it just needs a nearside mirror as clumsy here broke it with his nut

Inside it needs a head liner r&r bed and cupboards to make it a fully usable camper

I've just no time or money anymore and really could do with the money now plus I'm bored of seeing it parked up and staring at me shouting help,

Ok some people are going to say buy a mirror and mot it then use it but I've just got no spare money at all, after loosing a baby this year too I just need to move stuff on that's holding me back so the question is what's it worth with a shed full of spares like a spare 1700 engine and a gearbox for spares loads of stuff really
Any help greatly appreciated! This is the bus tell me what you reckon [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Shame...

Didn't you have any adventures in it...?
    Create any great memories?

That's what these buses are for I think.

  3. Nope me and the missis went up the road for a laugh and came home and then moved it to our new home and basically been sat since except for going down the street to give it a quick run and make sure nowt was sticking

  4. It’s always sad when someone decide’s to sell when they have yet to enjoy all there hard graft ! Personally I’d sell all your spare parts separately, this will help maximise your money , the bus obviously without looking at it in the flesh it’s difficult to price IMHO I’d say £ 8500 - 11500 . Depending on your luck . Being LHD , and the Uk having a weak pound you have a good chance of selling to Europe . GLWS

  5. Rear (and to a lesser extent the front) bumper completely detracts from the whole look of it if you go down the selling route. With respect, tidy them up and repaint!

  6. Tried selling all the parts off for ages but never had much luck with them and I'll be honest I'm sick to death of when you need something that someone's got they want the earth for it and usually it's a case of its rare/og etc,

  7. The roofs like it to mate and I wanted to keep the originality to it as it's taken so long to get like it naturally[IMG]

  8. If you have a large quantity of part , maybe sell as a job lot to @davidoft or similar puts a few quid in your pocket and make’s space ! I agree with the other post , get your bus looking it’s best , every picture tells a story and often sell’s buses.

  10. Ok, if you don't want to do any more to it, then why not just sell on ebay without reserve, it will sell. You should get up to 5k for it as a good project including the spares.

  11. I wouldn't even bother for 5k I'd feel that an insult lol! It's a full running bus that you could mot and run but like I say just no money or time, poorly missis, loss of a baby works hours have been cut down everything's gone wrong this year,

  12. At least get a bed in it so your selling the lifestyle, get more potential buyers who just want to camp in a cool bus.

  14. Wouldn't need curtains either if you picked up a cheap set of thermal mats for the windows.

  15. It sounds like you're in a bit of a low place at the moment - understandably. Losing a baby is awful; no two ways about it. It seems to me that you are lashing out a bit in frustration. Take your time. Have a real good think about what you and your wife want out of life. Try for another baby. Maybe even fix that wing mirror. But don't rush ahead when you're low because life has given you a kicking. Give yourself time to take stock. Good luck.

If it is just a mirror, I'll send you one so you can get an MOT. Trying to sell without MOT is going to devalue what looks a good bus.
