  1. Look at the brass bush on this pic
    [IMG]

It’s worn through, split and separated from the housing
    It’s not fit to use
if the flap jams because of it it will cook the engine.

This picture a part has snapped off and is missing so it can’t possibly work as intended

They are not just worn they are knackered and not fit to use!

  2. To buy a set like this from megabug is £160 and they still look in the same condition,so £50 is very cheap and a good starting point to me.

  3. The price compared to megabug isn’t the point.

You sold knackered stuff advertised as fully tested and working!

  4. I sold 40 odd year old parts ,that work.

  5. Those brass bushes are totally worn out to separate like that. Not available as a replacement part either so fit for scrap only. They're the only thing that allows the flap's to open smoothly instead of jamming.
This is a set I've had sat in my shed for 20 years and they're all still complete with no wobble.

  6. If they have sat in your shed for 20 years they have not had a lot of use then.

  7. No you haven’t the flaps are no use!

If you advertised them as a good base to start from and needing work I wouldn’t have bought them!

Are you going to refund me and I’ll return the lot to you.

  8. Please check the add ,no refund.

  9. Only around 30 years and 150k miles use.

  10. Well put another nearly 20 years use on them and see how they look.

  11. The add never said no refund

I’ve bought many used parts from members on here over many years with no problems.

You have sold junk advertised as working and tested when it’s obviously not.
It’s not the way things are done on here.

I would have hoped you would have been decent in resolving the problem and that would of gone some way into keeping people’s faith when buying from you.

You obviously couldn’t care less about selling knackered parts.

Your approach to the whole thing makes you a twunt and I will be strongly advising other members against buying from you.

  12. Never said the add said no refund, the add gives a good description of 40 odd year old parts.

  13. Look you jumped on the cheap price ,you never asked any questions about wear or any other questions ,you just jumped at the cheap price.

Cheap or not “full working order” doesn’t adequately describe knackered parts. Either sort it out, or don’t sell anything else on this forum.
    Cheers

You sold them as “full working order”.

  19. They are age related parts,£50 is a lot of money ,I would at least be asking 1 question.

    Each to their own.
Personally I wouldn’t sell scrap as “full working order”.
Are you going to refund @paradox on receipt of the scrap back?
