Morning fella
The package arrived well packed and safe and sound
But I’m not impressed to be honest

The stat is damaged and the bracket has been bodged


The flaps have a section snapped off ,the rivets on the bracket are loose and the brass bushes are worn through or nearly worn through

 

I’m not sure this is the correct thermostat rod.

 

The rod is correct just need the bracket taking off.the stat fully works I have tested in hot water.They are 40 odd year old parts

 

They maybe 40 year old parts but the flaps are useless
There’s a bit broken off and
With the worn through and knackered bushes there’s every chance they could stick and cook the engine.
Not what I expected when you said all tested and working.

 

They are all tested and working but like most parts that old they are bound to be worn.

 

They are worn beyond use and a part is broken off.

They are not fit to use!

I had hoped you would have resolved this in a decent Manner but you seem happy to sell useless Marmitee as tested and working.

 

From the pictures you can see they will need work,but for me they are a good starting point,as you cant buy new,and at the low price they were never going to be the best.They are the parts you bought in the pics.

 

You should check what Megabug want to charge for a set in the same condition.A fortune and they still need work.

 

You didn’t advertise them as a good starting point and needing work

That’s a big difference from all tested and working!

 

But they are tested and they do work.As said common sense would tell you that 40 odd years old parts are worn.
