Looks good Rick, that whiterock stuff looks ideal for lining the back of T25 with, where did you get?.............have you got any left
Been to GSF to get a new starter using their discount NOVE35 got 35% off £175 so £113, then a further £30 off for taking an old one, so £83 for this beauty! hopefully i can now turn off with confidence she will restart without my hammer.
I got one from GSF in June after having to use a hammer as well. Think mine was about £78 after the discount available at the time and the £30 exchange refund(mines a manual so I think slightly different, and cheaper, than yours). Touch wood, its been absolutely fine ever since and it noticeably spins the engine over faster
the one i had off @1973daisey is on now, that spins quick but sticks, the one i took off and exchanged today spun dead slow and suffered hot start i'm hoping this one finally sorts it as you can't bump an auto, if not new ignition switch next i think
Ha, that got me thinking.I fitted a large MKII Cavalier washer bottle about 6 years ago and i've never topped that up either. Still works.
Have you not fitted an ign. switch bi-pass relay. Mine already had one when i bought it. Gets all the power direct to the starter.
you mean hot start? there was one on when i got it but it was bodgy so i removed it, i'd rather the starter work right than band aid it.
Hot or cold , still does the same job. Mine works fine without it but i,m taking the stress out of the switch and 40 year old wires that run from front to back twice. Mine was also very bodgy so i re-did it. Those pesky Americans.
i changed the bed today for the one i got off @Chrisradioman, mine was stained but also the foam had collapsed, chris' ones are firmer and cleaner but more sun faded, here's a pic of why mine were a bit uncomfortable.... here's the "new" ones in situ
