Anyone going voting? I'm thinkng 'nope, too cold'

 

I think the idea in principal was good, they were hoping for good strong local candidates who could grab the publics attention and get things done for what the public wanted In reality its a joke, no one knows who's standing or what they stand for, loads of ex politicians and councilors have jumped on the bandwagon trying to get another cushty job, its not really worked out I reckon, turn out will be low

 

cant see the point it we just be another politician feeling his/her pockets.

We have had NO info from anyone standing in this money wasting exercise.

 

Me and my chums at the Rotary club picked our new commissioner months back, no need to bother voting

 

I got as far as going on line to see who was running locally and started reading their statements. Got half way through the first one before I gave up and tore up the polling cards

 

tawk a the devil ones just knocked on the door and offered ta take us down send us down ???

 

regardless of what it's about I have voted ... people gave their lives to keep this country a democracy ... so I feel duty bound.

 

Just cast mine, had a great chat with the clerks. Turn out 10%, but they've managed word searches, crochet and some very nice knitting. ;D

I wonder how many spoilt papers that will include? Why does this country have to fall back into party politics when it was all meant to be non-political ?
