Come on @sANDYbAY ...we're going round in circles here. I had good reason to challenge Luis' generalisation...if you found it unprincipled, then so is making assumptions about an individual and applying it to every other individual who happens to fit into that same demographic Supposing I posted: "Without wishing to generalise, most guys who do arts and crafts as a hobby must have a pretty meager social life" you'd be insensed...not only because it's a gross generalisation and also untrue, but because you know from personal experience that it's simply not the case. How you'd respond to it is a different matter....I'll grant you that I can be pretty acerbic, and probably get up a few people's noses as a result, but in all honesty, it wasn't meant to be a cheap points scoring exercise, at the expense of somebody else...and regarding this Alpha Male business...it couldn't be farther from the truth. Raising two children, neither of whom are you're own offspring sees to that, believe me. Sorry if I've offended you. But when all's said and done, I'll still respond to something I disagree with, however the original post was intended. Ironically, I'd be inclined to agree with him, were it not for the fact that I know differently. Anyway, I genuinely hope no harm's done....
On a positive note the generalisation about all Welsh people being sheep shaggers was definitely hit in to touch this week by Ian Watkins. Well done Ian for fracturing that myth. Every cloud and all that.....
You never quite know how much of what's printed is actually true, but from the little I've read, he sounds like a nasty piece of work. Here's hoping he's allowed in the lifer's exercise yard
True...but stuff takes on all manner of 'importance' on here....@Baysearcher and I were borderline coats off ,line in the dirt the other week.....about insulation Don't fancy me chances though...he looks quite handy
I hope you are talking about fighting here......after @rickyrooo1 Quiche revelation my certainty of how steady the ground is has somewhat diminished.
I don't think they're doing it any more, maybe the website crash had something to do with it, but I remember when I joined TLB we had to pass under a metal detector and hand all our weapons in. The best bit though was that Pete HailFrank took each of us into the TLB living room and showed us where the Chill Pills were kept. They were so easy to get that most of us filled our pockets with them. I've still got hundreds of them and find that taking one just before I log on helps to keep a sense of proportion.
Did Quiche evoke the same connotations in those days? I was under the impression it was a relatively new phenomenon....associating flan-encased eggy commestibles with overt Homosexuality
Is the post still about a boys ear being bitten off or have I come in at the end of a game of Chinese whispers?
What a wuss, it's a nick I would have just put a plaster on it and said man up. But come on what's a dog doing on a school trip. Hang on he was the guard dog, 11 children and 6 members off staff that's a high ratio to have, I would expect but I could be wrong the children have behavioural problems. I wounder if they were tormenting the dog.
