  4. Changed all fuel hoses for trip at weekend, old ones were dated 2013 sure I only fitted them 5 years max. Did new vac pipes too.

  5. Scouring the local area for a decent (but cheap - which doesn't seem to go together) generator so I can continue to attack the rust on Bertie now he's living on the street. In all this rain, he's developed some HUGE patches...!!!

  6. Not much. Attached external temp sensor to B-post, drilled some more Ebers wiring holes (avoiding brake pipes - just), slapped some more bitumen sheet on the cab floor, fixed some splits in my cab mat with black Duck tape (which doesn't look half bad).

Went to check on the wipers that were not working.
    Still not working! :)

checked the fuse and it had blown - swapped it for another one and they started again.
anyone know what else is on that fuse?
I know the wipers were stiff to operate and they were an advisory so they could've blown it, but just wondering.

Also, I need to lubricate them - what oil should I use? ;)

Found a damp patch on the rear seat under the old roof vent. The rain found a tiny crack in the sealant where wiring from the solar cells goes through. It was still a bit damp.

So I covered the leaky bit on the top in water- based acrylic sealant, then sprayed a bit of paint on the sealant - if it rains the paint slightly stops the rain washing away the curing sealant.

Fortunately the water had only made the surface fabric of the cushion damp, so I took the cover off.

And then also made the foam piece inside the seat cushion about 30mm shorter across the bus as it tended to wedge and block the seat from lifting..

That was how water has got into mine. I'm hoping that the sealant I've bought for the solar panel fitting seals good. Using Hybriflex 40 PU Hybrid Adhesive

  13. Finished off reinstalling carbs, put another coat of paint on the headlamp bowls, went looking for an oil leak, did some cleaning in the engine bay, did some more work on the door membranes. Mate turned up and he held the extinguisher while I turned her over, she fired second time :) Summer is on the way :D

Tomorrow will be more tinkering and pottering :)

Mine was also PU sealed, which was superb except..
For laziness (had a roll of it) cosmetic and mechanical reasons I used two pieces of 3A rated flat twin flex cable in parallel from each panel.
In one place, two cables sat on top of each other, and while they were wrapped in sealant, there was none between the two flat wires. And that seems to be the way in. For a trickle but when driven in there by gales it made a damp patch in the end.

Moved it so I could get the wife’s mini in the garage and fix it.
