I been slaughtered by other bays on the motorway but generally not. I know some drive steady but I didnt realise that it was enforced for a lot of buses. Some supersonic buses on here reaching cruising speeds i couldnt aspire to. I didnt think mine was quick. Indeed it isnt. Im guessing 0 to a real 60 would be more like 23 ish.
Do it again, you should get to about... 1st gear - Where you dare, get a bit of speed up so you have some revs on in second. 2nd - at least 30mph, 35-40 if you dare. 3rd - you should be good for 60, 55 is a doddle. Numbers are for type-4 engines, best not to do those revs with a T1.

Im gonna change the chokes and not tell you what size they are. Previous set up would see 60 in 3rd so i reckon i could lose at least. 2 seconds off that time!

Work out your speedo error with a sat nav at a constant speed then use the corrected 55 / 60 mph figures to do the run.
Have you checked, timing, points gap, rotor arm etc, mine was a partly blocked fuel filter so was starved
