Think Im easy on timescales. Ive got the day off so could go any time. Would like to get down there with planty of daylight as I want to put my awning up and possibly get my propex connected up if poss.

Mains might be usefull if Im charging drills and whatnot but its nice down by the fire corner if thats where we are. not too far to stumble to get another beer from the van!

I'm easy on time as well. I may have to get the bed back from Keith at Kens Customs but we popped over today for a chat & he reckons it'll be done for Thursday.
I'd prefer to get off before lunch as I've got quite a bit to do when I get there. Gas lines etc I anticipate as well as the service and the misbehaving CHT sensor, as well as.......

 

I will try for that too then. What state will you be in (van-wise). You going to be "camping" and sleeping in the van? That why im using the awning for cooking, storage etc - somewhere to put stuff when I chuck it out of the van etc.

 

Forgot to ask the most important question - is it silver side in or silver side out at the weekend?

well that depends on the Propex install but I'm thinking silver in I haven't got curtains as Mrs Monkey only got the material Saturday.

 

I too am devoid of curtainage and reliant upon the blinds!. Could do with moving the suckers tbh as they clash with the sliding window handles. Need to fit some eyelets But unsure where I would get them from. Only just found my blinds tonight tbh and thought id lost them! Will measure the "holes" up and trawl the web!

 

I cant remember how we used to attach the blinds to the windows with fly screens Will have to ask Mel, she'll remember

So camping could be minimalist in the extreme. I said to Keith today that as long as I can get the boards back I can sling a foam camping mat down & kip on that. Don't really want to though

 

Is Mel coming too! Im thinking roof bed would be best option (assuming you have it)as its easy to put in and doesnt affect anything your doing downstairs! And if its just boards then some foam and Bobs yer mothers bruv innit... I do have some spare Viking roof bed cusions. Only 2 inch foam but got enough to double up for a single and possibly enough for a double. Let me know if you need em. If its just you then you could kip in mine. Me vnorak and Col go away and manage to all get in there (in seperate beds I hasten to add after all it is a spacemaker!!!)

 

She's not sure yet as there is some spa extravaganza in Sheffield that she and her bezzy mates are going to to celebrate they are all the big four oh this year.
The roof bed is going to be the fall back. Good thinking

 

Wish I was coming up to 40! the last 12 years would have been a bit different!

 

Well, I'm the big five oh this year but I can't say I'd have done many things differently.
That's pretty lucky I think but we've made some tough lifestyle decisions which wouldn't suit everyone.

In any case Dicky, it's the next twelve that matter!!

 

Its the next twelve i can do something about!!

 

I won't be done with work til 3pm at the earliest so will make my own way.

 

I'll drink to that.

 

Its looking like i wont be coming as my van should be back towards the end of the week
But if not then i should be coming
