  1. Tuesday wildchild

    Tuesday wildchild I'm a circle!

If someone can bring a saw we could go hunting for wood.

  3. Rather than watch "The Lorax" for the eighteenth time I have just read all 50 pages of this thread.

Quite looking forward to the weekend now.

Quick question (which never got answered thirty pages ago) - is replacing the anti roll bar bushes a doable novice+help job?

Must be as people have fitted them from scratch at TE before.

  5. How about window fitting? Swapping a slider for a jalouise is it doable

  6. Don't see why not. Have you got the screws?

  7. yep....but you may struggle to find a volunteer helper

    easy job

  9. i would do for what they cost.....if you can get skinnier than 3mm but bigger diameter they'd work pretty well

Yes it's easy, I advise you buy VWH's expensive (black) ones as the main metal clamp bit fits much better than the cheap (plated finish) ones.

  11. No, this is just magnets. They're the curtains in the 2 windows in the pop top, and there's about 8-10 magnets in each one, I think. You're welcome to look at them at the weekend if you want.

  12. I've got a nice long-handled axe I could bring, if that's of any use?

Do you have steel windows in your poptop?

  14. You'll also need a drill to drill the holes in the window frame for the screws.

  15. Nope, I have strips of steel tiger-sealed onto the inside of my pop top, around the window. :D (Pikeytech(R) )

That's not a bad idea.
I have a new dormy roof to fit for someone and there is no provision for curtains unlike the originals that had wooden strips GRP'd into them for rails.

  17. I've got the 50 6x3mm I got a while back and the 50 20x3mm I ordered this morning.

The thinner ones don't seem to come in bigger sizes without ordering from china and there's no way they'd arrive this week.

I'll stick with this lot, I'm sure there'll be enough out of the 2 loads to get them to stick. I only need 4 windows worth

  18. I don't envy you. I had an awful time doing a dormobile canvas a few weeks ago

  19. When I did mine, I put the pop top upside down on sawhorses first, then fitted the canvas to the pop top, then the hoops to the roof, then put the canvas/roof on top of the van, it seemed much easier that way.
