T4 & t2 pcd

  1. Merc sprinter rims have a pcd of 5x130 according to this and a centre bore of 84.1

    http://www.wheel-fitment.com/car/Mercedes/Sprinter (2000 - 2006)/

This is what starts happening everytime i look into 15 inch steel wheels to fit my bus i keep getting conflicting information
I dont have the money to be buying sets of wheel to find they dont fit or having tyres put on them only to find out they scrub

Early Sprinter wheels are steels not alloys, my Merc alloys fit perfect

Weve been running alloys for the past year (3000 miles approx.) with no issues and from looking at them, they haven't got spigot rings and they locate okay - MWS I guess wouldn't sell them without rings if they didn't need them.
    Im not gonna worry!!

  4. I didnt say they were alloys i was trying to show that the center bore is supposed so be the correct size and not too large

Mark do your mws wheels have a larger centre bore than the stock vw wheels?

dunno tbh - they fit the wheelstuds, look great and have no issues whatsoever, the handling has improved though, that I will say!!

  7. How do you know there sprinter rims?
Those ones for sale had vw stamped on them

  8. bay windows use lug centric wheels so in theory if you use aftermarket wheels with M14 stud holes they should find the center when torqued up correctly theres a bit of info here
    http://www.ratwell.com/technical/Tires.html
    scroll down to larger wheels

  9. VW Transporter after 90 5x112 35 to 38 57.1

35 to 38 is the offset for the t4 wheel, 57.1 is the bore. Do you know t2? It wasn't on that spec sheet I found........off to search.

  11. Cheers dickie that sorts the problem of the centre hole diameter and it can indeed be larger than stock:thumbsup:

Damm my head dont half hurt now

  12.

  13. Cheers dickie

The only rims listed in that with the same offset as the bay and wedge is a merc s class w126 1979 -1991 and
    Mercedes sl w107 1971-1989

  14. So I have now got the info I need. The t4 wheels will be fine with regards to offset, they'll just need boring out. My brother in law is an engineer for Honda and has said he will do it for me at work. Para, I'll let you know how I get on if this is something your wanting to do.

  18. So they will stick out further in the arches than stock wheels
I hope theres enough clearance especially with 205 width tyres
