As you have to tighten to the next split pin position, the torque given is the minimum. Don't go jumping. You'll be reet.
I'll go to the pet shop then. I have a really fat mate, do you reckon he could just stand on the nut slightly off centre?
This is so going to get used in a lesson on moments... Next time some snotty little year seven asks "when am I ever going to need science?" I'll have this an example! Thanks all!
Next question. Only just got round to the standing on the bar thing. First nut. Stood 14" along bar, looked for split pin hole. Didn't line up with castles so kept moving my weight along the bar until I could get the pin in. This all felt very satisfying. 2nd nut. Stood on bar 14" looked for split pin hole and pin went in straight away, not very satisfying. Question is am I good to go or should I have gone round to the next hole?
If you gor your torque should be good! Might be a whole load more to be next pin position available..... or maybe just do it after Sunday dinner..
