Going to sort the air leaks, but I also want to get the jetting somewhat right so I don't have to keep peeing about with taking the carbs on and off all the time, probably buggering up the gaskets......

He's just trying to get you going by sorting the things that are typically way out. You can go on and on. The sad truth is these carbs are usually sold jetted for a single carb bedford van. ICT's run on the idle jet and x-over to main jets to much higher revs than say your single solex, so the idle jet being too small will cause the engine to bog down as you try and pull off and each gear as you change to it. It'll probably rev spunky do-dah sat in neutral, but put a load on and it'll die. They're good carbs though - jetted and set up correctly. Dellortto's are better though.
I appreciate everyone's help here dude!! I'll be ordering all my bits tomorrow so carb rebuild kits, and I guess new main and idle jets, and take it from there???
Hahaha me in charge :laugh2: I've ordered carb rebuild kits, new gaskets for manifold and new jets with the advice from laurie Pettit so that little lot when it turns up will hopefully solve my issues and prevent the bus from being smashed to pieces with a bit hammer.
