Randomly stuffing things loose under the bed sounds like a much more elegant solution than having a silly drawer.

 

Its not random, I carefully load the chairs, table, bbq and other stuff. It's also been used as a mass wine cellar when returned to uk ( with drawers fitted would of been less wine) .

 

Little update for the 2 non Luddites who are interested in my T5 I've got my curtains in, went for total blackout ones as I like it dark to sleep, plus they are only £10 more per window. They are grey showing from outside and black in, no need for flowers or girly muck as the windows are that dark you can't even see them from outside.
They fit by screwing rails into the frame.


You feed the curtains on and they are quite elasticy and they stretch to the bottom.


They look like this when shut.


Tie backs included.

So, I "could" sleep in it now, units aren't critical, still farting about with electrics as those who've seen my electric post will know.
Hopefully I'll be able to crack on soon.

Curtains look good, I like the idea of tracks top and bottom.
I need to design a curtain which blocks off the cab from the back so I can wild camp discretely in city streets and car parks abroad. I think pulling the cab curtains would make it more obvious that someone's camping rather than just parked up empty for the night.​

 

yeah they do one for the T5 i was toying with it but in the end went with an external one like i had on the bay

 

Yeah, we've got an external screen cover as well but it's even more obviously in your face than inside screen curtains. With the windscreen and cab door Windows uncurtained I think it won't shout "illegal camping" quite as loudly. Out in the woods and beaches it's not a problem but I want to be able to wild camp in places like the middle of Berlin or Riga so I can explore the cities on my bike.

 

i actually wouldn't mind one to help with the heating, on cold days with no bulkhead it can take a while to warm the cab up as it has to do the whole rear section too.
