Thats only pre-1960 though and they still have to be road worthy. Most pre-1960 motors are seriously well looked after, and most owners get them MOTs anyway.
one thing i add are republic of ireland classic cars , over 30 year old they are NCT EXEMPT , same as mot here and over there , my problem with this is no one maintains there car s to a safe level , they all gone on ah but sure its nct exempt i dont need to do it do i , well i believe in fixing them owen nw
My father inlaw has pre 60 cars and he is in his 70s plus started to lose his marbles he does all his own maintenance the same as a lot of his mates. We have convinced him to still get it tested each year but many will not bother
I was talking to the garage owner/mot tester the other day, and there is a old boy round this way that has a old pre 60 landy that is hanging... no mot, so it'll be a cold day in hell before it gets any money spent on it!!
Of course there are old knackers around. They'll die out fairly soon though. I'd still wager the majority are cherished and therefore fairly well looked after. The fact that an MOT is no longer a requirement doesn't mean they don't have to be road worthy.
Some more done... Had an odd couple of days, and I've not got as much done as I would've liked... but that said, I'm nearly there on the welding
Ah artificial light.... You'll need a few fans blowing around as well you know.... As well as some heat ..... Seen it on the telle
It will probably work out cheaper to buy out of season veg and salad from tesco thats flown it in in bulk The idea of this plan is it will be fresh from the pot, organic and strains the supermarkets dont sell
As great as fresh veg sounds for dinner on Xmas, there's a real problem with this idea.... The extra expense of electricity over tesco means less to spend on the paravan Would it help to use a small indoor greenhouse type thing?
Yesterdays mini session... was sorting some winter firewood at the same time Tidied up a load of holes in the bulkheads Pulled the dash and steering column Gonna have to hit the HB pivot with some heat, as the pin it stuck fast Better look at the windscreen bottom... I've got some fabbing to do
Also got these couple of bits to do, and a grinding session And the steering coupler needs replacing too!!
