I bought my bus about 18 months ago well before I found TLB and with very little idea of what I should be looking for. Having read many posts on here I know I'm not the only one so I don't feel too bad.
One of the big attractions was as a 72 she was tax free, however I now know that in reality she should be a cross dresser, not a late.
Have checked out the m-plate which the chasis number seems to match and have run it through the DVLA site and all say she is a 72.
Paperwork and all other details say built October 71, registered January 72.

So question is, is it dodgy, could it be correct or has it just been completely rebuilt with new panels?

Just drive it and enjoy it.
I wouldnt stir up the hornets nest that could be contacting the DVLA and querying the tax status...

Its only a number that ends up saving you over £200 a year.

  16. does it match the chassis number that is stamped on the LH side of the engine bay?
