WANTED Non rusting headlight rims.

Fed up of mine looking like shiite.
Anyone got any stainless ones or VERY GOOD quality chromed ones?

 

Is it 3 screw steel ones you after for a crossdresser or single screw late bay ones which are plastic?

You want plastic ones then, originals they are as good quality as it gets and obviously don't rust. Ive probably got some but they wont be fantastic - the steel after market ones are all pants.

No idea been on forever! usual suspect sell em but aren't cheap!

 

Plastic was OG equipment. I have a couple of sets but I need them.

 

None in stock with any of 'em.

I'd be careful with the quality of stainless steel ones - my S/Steel Hubcaps and badge have rusted within 2 months of being put on the bus.

 

I found this too, Stainless obviously means something else in VW land.

All stainless corrodes eventually ....different grades are more resistant that others ..

Original 3 screw ones were brass (then chromed )

I picked some up at GSF in the 35% sale, only had them a couple of weeks so can't say how long they'll last.

 

There is no way they are stainless of any description

 

I'm fed of rust on mine as well. The plastic ones are looking like a reasonable alternative.

I got a refund on my plastic ones as try as I might I couldn't get them to fit
