Engine bay steam cleaned Then I've started on the crusty corner... I've got a new piece tacked in, but I totally forgot to photo it before I came away
Time you went to specsavers dude All the joints are seam sealed... paint won't seal them on its own Jet washed the engine bay, and water was spraying out of that one!!
That's a hole under the fixed battery clamp... was a little bigger than I thought, so I'll be welding some new steel in there, then weld the clamp back in!!
Pretty much ready for paint prep now!! Btw, that rh rear corner has been replaced... Whoever did it didn't do a bad job, but they could've done it a little better!!
Patching would imply that I've welded over rot As Ray has said, the rest of the tray is sound, it just looks roosty as fook, and it it pitted, but I wouldn't do a patch job if it needed a whole tray That's not how I work
Sorry, I worded that badly, wasn't trying to suggest you'd weld over rot. As you say, it looks rusty in the pic but pics can be misleading. I'm sure it'll be splendid once you're done
