  1. Right the beam is back in as of last night! Its a lot harder to get in than it was to take out thats for sure!

Also i have ordered a plug for the bottom of the steering pin, only thing is they are 41mm diameter & 15mm deep..
And the closest one I can get is 41.5mm diameter and 9.5mm depth.

So will have to report how good the fit is!

Finish isn't as shiny as I would like, maybe the 2nd coat will turn out a bit shinier

  7. Today's update,

I called around a few places trying to find the missing steering pin cup last week, and alan h schofield was kind enough to pop one off an old beam and send it to me free of charge!

So I got the plug popped onto the bottom, and the arb bar back on.

Also got the drag link in

Then I got the track rods on.

Then the handbrake compensator back on the bottom,

  8. Then Ive stuck the nasty old hubs and rusty brake discs back on so I can put it back on the ground.

Lastly... I'm going to re-do the brake calipers..

    I've got 3 good pistons

    And this one..

Is that alright to use? ^ @zed ?

  9. You already know the answer to that.

After the attention to detail you've put in to the underside of your bus, that should go straight in the bin!

That, plus anything to do with brakes should be 100%

Measure the dia and google "blah dia brake piston"?

  14. Hello, what brand / type of mig did you use please? I'm about to buy one myself

The "good" piston on the right looks pretty pitted from here. Pitted = bad.

  16. Alright bud, Ive got a sealey supermig 150, started off with a Clark 90en but it's a bit weak. I use hobbyweld argon co2 mix which is like £35 for a huge bottle. It was good to learn with too.

  17. Yeah, like optimistic said, I can't put loads of attention to detail into making it look good.. Then fook up the brakes lol.
