Havnt done the points gap. Will have to read up on that, So should I be setting the timing as the points are just opening or just closing. Iv done it to points closing, which I think is wrong, so 45 deg should be when they're opening?

Cheers guys, was a real morale booster, hopfully it will prove to be a good unit to see it up and running on the road. Still a mystery to how it snapped the arms off though.
Hard to say without pulling the engine down for an inspection... I've had it happen, but on some rockers that I went a bit mad clearancing for swivel feet adjusters...
