  1. Was that pic taken after the mot?

If so your bottom balljoint boot looks kipperd and if it is it should have been a fail

  2.
  3. Who ever left them loose should be shot!!:(
Besides the brake pipe is kinked.....a real lash up, something to be ashamed of!!

You've confused me for Mr Radioman! He's the armchair lawyer!

  8. Brilliant, thought it would be a simple one if there was a problem it would never have passed the mot well done sherlock

Agreed - and the flexi isn't seated in the bracket correctly...
Better luck with the new garage.

  10. Thanks all for all your info and know how...what stars thanks so much for helping a newbie to vw t2.......This other garage seem top blokes, unlike the cowboys from other garage....

  11. and make certain that they're aware that the caliper bolts need tightening up. 16mkg each...not something that can be done with a socket and 12" breaker bar either. The results of a caliper working loose and jamming the disc can be extremely messy for the driver. Very glad you found out early on.

  12. What surprise me about this kind of bodgery is that it wouldn't take any longer to do it right in the first place. Most perverse.

  13. The Garage that did the MOT test............... did they pass the vehicle as roadworthy?
Did they perform any work on your front brakes?
If the answer to the above questions is yes, then its your duty to report them to the authorities.

    I'm seeing a distracted/forgot scenario.
While this isn't ok, reporting them to the authorities might be a little OTT.

  15. I'd think in that case, simply peeing through their letter box would be sufficient...:)

  16. Or sharon osbornes favourite trick

Send them a turd in a gift wrapped box lol

  17. Sorry Zed I disagree, as a retired Licenced aircraft engineer I am used to living with the prospect of standing up in court to explain my actions if I was to cause an accident or be responsible for killing someone, by my negligence.
Forgot or distracted are not valid excuses in my book.
If the picture is to be believed, that vehicle was not roadworthy.
What is the point of an MOT inspection, if the vehicle is returned to service in the condition that this one seems to have been?
    Tony
