I totally agree with you on this. I too thought we had moved on from terms like that! What shocks me even more is that a Moderator uses "proper hard" so flippantly!

Cant say i fully agree with your post huyrub. The very fact that this is a Forum lends its participants to voice their opinion , maybe some opinions do not align with yours or others ,doesnt make their opinions invalid or any less valid as your or others. I may be wrong but surely that is simply how forums operate, it would be a dull forum if we all had the same views and have a rose tinted glasses view on the world thinking everyone's opinion is exactly the same as mine PS Wrighty was a genius in my opinion , a master at his craft , a chap on Jeremy Vines show said he met him once in the street and said his dad was his biggest fan , Wrighty got the chap to phone his dad and they had a nice conversation . How many would do that.
I totally agree with what you say about voicing opinions. But for somebody to voice an opinion on somebody that they have never heard nor seen and dispararage them as “ not giving a monkeys about them “ then …what is their opinion of that person based upon ?
@Pudelwagen I don’t think folk crying at work makes them not suitable for their job. When a friend of mine died I had gone in the plumbers merchants and one guy did that I was a bit quiet, so I explained why and that set me off crying. Cue plumbers grabbing the blue roll as there was no tissue to hand, and giving me a hug. After my dad died I was working for customers who knew I went to see him a lot, they asked how he was, again I told them he had died and started crying. They bought me a cuppa . I did not feel at any time that this made me less professional, or made my customers think any less of me. This is just my opinion and you have yours. ps I think nancy boys/girls is a bit of a crap phrase to use.
