Not a rant because I'm not that bothered, but we've all probably noticed BMW drivers not indicating left at roundabouts because they are so important and by not doing so the only result is frustration for the driver wondering which way they'll go. It's so obviously done deliberately, you can see the buggers smirking. However around these parts over the past few months every other car is now doing the same. Has there been an article on telly or something to give the thickies the idea? I don't understand how else this has got to epidemic proportions so quickly. To maintain their position of imagined superiority, Beamer drivers around these parts have now completely given up indicating at roundabouts. I've had to change my driving style. Now if a car at a RAB, particularly if it's a BMW, isn't indicating I pull right out in front of it. So far I've had a few screechy tyre near misses in the bus, but I just grin, point at their indicators and shrug my shoulders. I didn't start this game, but I'm happy to play it.
Oh not all BMW drivers are crap drivers or don't indicate at roundabouts! I have to agree a lot are though
Funny you should mention it.....I've noticed an increase too though to be fair to Beamer drivers, Chelsea Tractors andTaxis don't appear to be fitted with Indicators anyway.
That illuminated yellow pointy thing that sticks out from the post behind the front doors.... those in the know call them semaphore arms Used to be all the rage in Auckland in the old days...
@zed i agree mate i hate people who dont indicate and i do the same as you and im happy to play the game to!!! been an ex lorry driver i have no patience with people on the road!!!
to be fair, I own a BMW and the indicating system is awful. Its not your standard stick like most cars its this funny dumpy digital thingy that has a mind of its own. I DO indicate though as it does my nut when people don't and my favourite trick is to pull out on people turning right at roundabouts with no indicator, stopping in the road and just look at them to get a response. lol
If there's a crash you will be judged to be in the wrong and the cause of the accident. A car which isn't indicating as it enters a roundabout is showing you that it intends to go straight ahead, ie NOT turning left. Pull out in front of it at your peril.
I dont know about indicating on roundabouts , what about traffic lights on them ,zebra crossings and pedestrian crossings on the exits and lanes that have the same road exit on three of them on them, its all a big joke, and yes the powerful cars arnt driven buy "pussy's" normally ," most". are top gear types, who think "OUR roads" are "RACE" tracks. O dear zed sorry ive ranted, i " shudder" to think what our roads will be like in 5/10 years time? India in the rush hour springs to mind. Get ya horns ready guys oh yeh n indicators clear lens orange bulb or orange lens clear bulb .
See BMW cant just have the same indicator as anyone else they have to have a faster, flashy er, one that ordinary drivers cant manage
Not all BMW drivers are crap drivers, but I would be careful of pulling out in front of other vehicles on the roundabout, just because they are not indicating, because if they hit you it will be your fault as it is their right of way, impatience is no justification, just take a deep breath. Remember some people use their indicators too much which is just as annoying.
