HOW LONG IS YOUR DIPSTICK?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Neptuneblue, May 9, 2013.

  1. Do you want that dipstick? If you're selling, it would be good for me as it has the sealing part at the top that I can make fit the tube to stop the leak. No problem making it shorter and grinding some level marks on.

  2. Ok. I wasn't bragging about my extreme length in order to sell but if it is of some use to you then ok. I'll sell. How much would you like to pay.. Do I need to put it in the classified adds? I know there are selling rule on the forum.
I would need to find a cylindrical container to post it in.Or did you want to collect?
Edit.. Just clicked on your screen name = Gainsborough = you don't want to collect>lol

  3. Would it fit in a tube from the centre of some wrapping paper and then post? Can you pack it and check the postage cost? Alternatively, I can collect with TNT, but need an address where someone will be available when they turn up, so pick a day when you're in all day or a work address if they don't mind personal stuff being picked up.

Tell me the cost - between £5 and £10 seems reasonable to me, postage at my cost or I collect if possible as above.

  4. I'll see what I can find to pack it for you and find a postage price.
Are you in a hurry as I'm working, working at the moment as whe're having a stock take?

  5. Whenever you can - the quicker I get it, the quicker I can stop the leak!

  6. I've found a xmas wrapping paper tube(Yes I've been in the attic already) I'll see if I can get a postage price from the Post office today.

  7. The lady in the post office was most impressed when I popped it on her scales. " Oh MY MY that is impressive" she said "That IS the longest I've seen"

Anyway.. Enough of the innuendo.. It's in the post :D

  8. Can you ever have enough innuendo?

  9. All done, will post the mods on another thread.
