Never really got the Levellers - they were on at Bearded Theory this year (the people who started the festival did so with a mind to eventually getting the levellers there)
It always falls when im away somewhere but right up my street! might give it a go next year but its later in the season isnt it/
I get them but then again im a lefty great unwashed wannabe! Invariably New Model Army are on as well - your local band!
Didn't get tickets this year for the first time in 8 years. Totally gutted. I didn't even get to the holding page this year, I'm sure there was some ip shaping or banning going on with see tickets this year. I'm wondering if a certain number of ip addresses or ISPs were blocked when they had the server technicalities. Or maybe my luck finally ran out... Ho hum, I'll try in April at the resale.
last time i went was in 1989, or was it '90?, lots of fence hopping going on and uproar that there was more than 20k people! that was the last time because i found it had got too commercial for my liking. each to their own.
O.K. Croydon"s finest(female)<satisfied? hippyrichy? with apologies to Croydon"s finest male ,told it"s Birdy?(and damn and damn again Croydon"s one way traffic system , particularly on a Friday afternoon ! )< returned from my driving ,doing drops round Croydon and said to boss " you ever think of sending me back there I am out of here."
When Glastonbury went up to about £15 I was outraged and had to blag a free pass. Not been since - it's just too big for my liking, though I know to a lot of people this is what makes it good. It used to be priced at approx 1 week single person social security payment so if you take that as the bar, either it's got very expensive or the dole isn't worth claiming.
That was frightening.Clicked and was face to face to face with Martin FRy - not at this time of the morning thanks (being sick into waste bin) I wouldnt have free tickets for that!!!
