Pics like that cheer me up no end...it gets so depressing looking at all the beautiful, sparkly, gorgeous buses and then peeping out at your own and wondering how or if he'll ever look like that. Can't wait to see the new Wilma, bet you're missing her.
not that raw! John's e-mailing pics tonight of this weeks work, can't wait to get her back, today is cold and crisp, perfect winter camping weather and no Wilma Stil,l she'll be back soon and then we can have a put Wilma back party, can't we ;D
Make sure the roof is the right way round though, in the pics above, its on bakkards to forrards :laugh2:
Wilma's roof is the right way round, all those backwards jobbies were a mistake that no-one thought to correct )
When we first had Wilma restored there were about 4 different people working on it and we were ripped off left, right and centre. We got thoroughly :censored: off with vw 'specialists' and decided to get the work done by a welder who worked on other vehicles, including commercial buses and horse boxes. After this resto Wilma looked immaculate, if a little bit wider than your usual 73 camper, and looking at John's pictures now we know why John summed it up in this e-mail today ;D "Dear Julie and Moira Me and the boys have been having a chat about Wilma and we have decided she is like one of the girls on a dating site - looks nice in the picture but when you meet her and start taking off her outer layers, she's pretty rough underneath cheers John" brace yourselves, these pictures are awful and should come with a health warning So buyer beware! all those lovely 'restored' vans could be wearing an extra grubby vest underneath their best clothes : LOL
Shriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiek You sound nice and calm about it. Poor Wilma....all fur coat and no knickers, just like her mums ^-^
